Schumacher Verfahrenstechnik GmbH is officially ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) licensed, according to ASME Section VIII Div. 1 (U-Stamp).

This ASME (Boiler and Pressure Vessel) Code regulates the requirements for steam and heating boilers, piping, pressure vessels, valves and nuclear components for the American and Canadian markets. The code covers the regulation of manufacturer certification, quality assurance, design, material selection, fabrication, testing, inspection, acceptance and certification. Approximately 120 countries worldwide have now joined this set of regulations. "Companies intending to sell products on international markets cannot ignore this set of rules," says Mark Schumacher, Managing Director of Schumacher VT.

Due to the high certification effort and the extremely high costs that have to be incurred for this, the list of approved pressure vessel manufacturers is very small. Buyers are desperately looking for approved manufacturers on the European market. This opens doors for Schumacher Verfahrenstechnik to new markets and internationally operating large corporations.

Schumacher VT is thus further expanding its core competencies in the field of static mixers, thermal protection tubes as well as in piping and pressure vessel construction and reaching new target groups in non-EU countries. Currently, more than 100 countries worldwide accept the application of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code. The list of potential target markets ranges from Albania to Zimbabwe. The ASME Code is the unrestricted tool for innovative apparatus and plant engineering to open up global markets. On the other hand, the Pressure Equipment Directive - in which Schumacher VT already has all approvals - applies exclusively to apparatus and pressure vessels that are operated in the EU.
